Hahah Deals @ Kin no Mizu Japanese Dining
This is the fastest I gotta post up a review on a restaurant and its food, but since the taste of the scrumptious Japanese food is still fresh on my mind, I should take this opportunity to tell you all that this is one of the best deals you can go for!
Although there is another Mizu Japanese Restaurant in Bangsar Village II, we were invited for the one at the Intermark which is called Kin no Mizu Japanese Dining.
The ambiance of the place is quite cosy and with lots of water features, the place exudes the feel of its name – Mizu.
The food here is very well presented. Even the table setting and the service is top-notch. Don’t expect sub-standard service like those “fast-food Japanese food” joints like Sushi Zanmai or Sushi Tei. If your hot ocha has gotten cold, just ask to replace and the obliging staff will do it for you.
As I mentioned earlier, this is one of the best Hahah Deals you can go for.
Hahah Deal includes:
1 x Sukiyaki Croquette or Tofu Salad
1 x Salmon or Chicken Teppanyaki
1 x Spicy Seafood Nabe with Kimuchi and glass noodle or Assorted Tempura
2 x Rice + Miso Soup
2 x Japanese Green Tea
Hahah Rewards Multiplier:
After 30 transactions: FOC assorted fruit platter worth RM 18 + RM 30 cash voucher for next visit
DiGi Rewards (Special deal for DiGi users who purchase a Hahah Deal)
DiGi customers that flash their DiGi logo at Kin No Mizu Café will be eligible to get the following:
Free 2 scoops of green tea or black sesame ice cream worth RM 16
All these great stuff for only RM46.50! Normal price would be RM99 so you would be enjoying 53% discount.
Here are the awesome yummilicious food you would enjoy when you purchase this deal..
.. Tofu Salad, served with Wafu, Kimchi and Plum dressing. The salad consists of cold Japanese tofu, century egg, coral lettuce, leek and spring onions. The dish is fresh and light, and the dressing is not overpowering so you can enjoy the taste of the fresh greens.
.. Sukiyaki Korokke (Beef Croquette). Usually, korokke is made up of potatoes, but in Kin no Mizu, and in this deal, you get Sliced Beef cooked in Sukiyaki sauce in the korokke as well. The breaded korokke is not oily and does not have the taste of cheap, overused oil which is common in many fried foods even at renown restaurants. The beef is tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection without being stringy or rubbery. The beef blends well with the potato in this korokke.
.. Spicy Seafood Kimchi Nabe, a hotpot filled with much seafood goodness. There is Tempura prawns, scallops, straw mushrooms, cabbage, tofu, leek, fish and glass noodle. It is now pretty common to see kimchi being used in Japanese food, but for those who think that kimchi is way too strong and overly fragrant, don’t worry. The kimchi being used in this dish is minimal as the base of the soup is miso and kimchi is added as extra taste and flavor. This bubbling pot of soup is not very spicy so for those with cat tongues, you don’t have to be apprehensive about having to handle the spiciness.
.. Assorted Tempura, is just as it says – Tempura of assorted stuff like prawns, fish, mushrooms and root vegetables.
.. Chicken Teppanyaki. The sauce is sweet yet not diabetic. Tender and not overcooked, the chicken is full of flavor. You know what was the best? The fried garlic which came with the dish. We kept asking for extra servings of garlic because it was thinly sliced, crispy and perfectly fried. It was like eating chips! Haha. It was totally awesome.
.. Salmon Teppanyaki is cooked with sweet Teriyaki sauce. The salmon is really good though. Firm and fresh, the salmon does not have a very strong fishy taste that tends to stick to cheap fish. My only wish was if only the skin was crispier, then it would be absolutely perfect. (^_^)
You would also get white rice with miso soup in this deal. If you get a chance, you really should try their Garlic Fried Rice. And for those who enjoy eating foie gras, you really, really, really should try their Foie Gras Fried Rice.
If you’re a DiGi user and you buy this deal, you get to taste their yummy ice-cream. Who can say no to ice-cream? (^_^)
We also tried a few of the restaurant’s specialties. I can actually say they were all great!
.. Mizu Maki with Original Recipe consists of fried prawn on the inside, and unagi and avocado wrapped on the outside of the maki drizzled with special sauce. The rice was nicely rolled and not too packed yet doesn’t fall apart when picked up.
There was this awesome Salmon Maki as well, but I totally forgot to get the actual name of the dish. *sigh*
.. Yaki Seafood Spaghetti (Fried Spaghetti, Yakisoba style) is something different from the norm. You may say it is fusion Japanese as the chef used spaghetti instead of soba to fry this style. Tasty with a hint of black pepper and egg. A little wet but still tasty.
.. Unagi. One of the most popular dishes in Japanese cuisine, the Unagi is cooked really well and the texture is firm yet soft enough to melt in your mouth.
One of the best dishes I had during this review was the Beef Teppanyaki. Sorry for not having a photo, but it was gobbled up so fast, no one managed to shoot it. Haha. The beef was cooked perfectly and the meat maintained its juiciness yet it isn’t bloody which many people tend to shun. Paired with fried garlic, this dish was way too perfect. I would go back again to taste that juicy piece of meat.
For dessert, we also tried Tapioca with sweet red bean & coconut milk and strawberries. Something interesting and different, especially if you like mochi.
You really should not miss out this deal, especially if you love good Japanese cuisine.

Wow, all of that looks super yummy and it isn’t too expensive either. Sorry, I’m not from Malaysia, what are DiGi Rewards?
Hi! Thanks for your comment! DiGi is one of Msia’s telco providers. DiGi Rewards was a promotion collaboration between the telco and a ticketing portal called Hahah Deals, where any DiGi user would just have to flash their mobile phones to get an additional freebie. ^_^
And yeah, the food at Kin no Mizu is quite yummy, and affordable too!
